In the far northwest of Nghệ An, up against the Laos border, the hills rise to 300–800 metres and stay wrapped in cloud and forest. This is Quế Phong — cassia cinnamon country, and the source of the high-oil bark, quills, and cut sticks we ship by the container.
Altitude builds oil
Cinnamon's value is in its essential-oil content. Slower growth at altitude, cooler nights, and the region's forest humidity push the cassia trees here to develop the thick, oil-rich bark that gives a strong, sweet aroma — the trait our India, Middle East, and Korea buyers select for.
Peeled by hand, dried in the sun
- Bark stripped by experienced highland harvesters, often Thái and Dao families.
- Sun-dried and rolled naturally into quills, or cut to the 13–15 cm sticks in demand.
- Sorted for colour, thickness, and freedom from mould before export.
This is cassia (Cinnamomum cassia), grown and named honestly — not sold under a "Ceylon" label it doesn't belong to.
The brand promise
We name the district, the species, and the harvest — so what's on the spec sheet is what's in the bag.
